MYTHOLOGY AND HISTORY

Bowenite was much beloved in Russia before the Revolution. Faberge created a bowenite clock in honor of the birth of Tsar Nicholas and also used it to adorn a number of his legendary ornamental eggs.

DIVINATORY SIGNIFICANCE

Sometimes the kindest thing you can do is to stand back and let other people make their mistakes without interference.

HEALING AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Bowenite resembles polished jade. However, psychically it has much more powerful energies. A powerful but user-friendly stone, it will ease skin disorders, strengthen the heart and help to stabilize blood-sugar levels. It also helps to balance hormonal swings and benefits nursing mothers who are having problems breastfeeding. Rub bowenite on the scalp to improve the health of both the scalp and hair. Also use it to help heal past traumas.

USES AT WORK AND HOME

A bringer of abundance to work and home, bowenite gives the confidence to try new activities and alternative methods. It redresses the balance if you have controlling partners at home or dominant colleagues at work.

CHILDREN AND ANIMALS

Bowenite is helpful for encouraging a child's independence, whether at school for the first time, changing schools or leaving home. It benefits habitually complaining children. It also motivates an inactive pet to explore.

PSYCHIC ASSOCIATIONS

Bowenite encourages you to become more spontaneous in divination and to trust your psychic powers. It is good in love rituals or as a gift to a lover who is reluctant to commit to a relationship through inertia or because his or her present life is very comfortable.
